Weight loss isn't just about balancing calories
Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 10:41AM This interesting video from Dr Mercola's site explains that we have individual needs and body types which means that we need an individualised approach to losing weight and inches.
Most of us would do bettter with eating slightly more protein and less carbs. Also we benefit from eating more carbs from pulses and vegetables, rather than grains. If we do eat grains then we need to eat teh wholegrain. But also we need to increase the amount of healthy fats (such as Omega 3) we eat.
Also choose a variety of exercise and focus on things you love to do, instead of what you have been 'told' to do. Include whole body resistance exercises, like walking uphill and carrying the shopping, rather than relying on machines at the gym.
